This innovative and immersive workshop is a team-based, empowering and highly rewarding musical theatre experience that will have your head spinning with joy! I teach everyone an easy-to follow, simple yet fabulous Showdance in an hour and a half! You will learn the basics of staging and direction before it's time for my favourite part - performing it together! Everyone unites as one big family without boundaries or limitations on creativity.

HOW ARE THE WORKSHOPS DELIVERED?
In person or online. I prefer the personal touch of face-to-face teaching with its ease for group participation but it can be done remotely too!
THE STRUCTURE OF A WORKSHOP
The Showdance Experience is a structured workshop, divided into three sections.

The first section and one of the most important stages is the warm up and connecting with the group. At this stage, I get everyone up and moving with some light-hearted, theatrical fun! The idea is to get people having fun and feeling good.

The second section is the main teaching section. I teach the staged show step-by-step in an easy to follow and creative way. This is where I use humour and expression to encourage people to feel safe and try something new. It is the coming together of different personalities, ages and abilities that makes a tribe! Within this section there is always a space for “play and creation”. I get people into small groups and give them the freedom to collaborate creatively. You can't underestimate the importance of teamwork in this section. We have timings to respect and staging that needs remembering!

The third section is the conclusion. The Performance - It’s Showtime! I use music and imagination to create the feeling that you're actually on stage performing for an external audience. This is very important because performing it just for ourselves encourages self expression without boundaries, limitations or judgement, which often gets lost in everyday life at work or home! The joy on people’s faces and the joyous energy shared by everyone as they let go and connect as one captures everything I love about The Showdance Experience. It is amazing when it comes together and it gives the participants a fantastic sense of achievement as they see for themselves how it looks and feels. When people feel empowered and confident they can accomplish anything!
